ABOUT BN GOALKEEPING ACADEMY
Who We Aim to Be
We at BN Goalkeeping Academy want to provide the best possible training for all our goalkeepers. We are located in Santa Clara California, and have been training goalkeepers (ages 12 and up) in this area for over 20 years. We have keepers from many of the local soccer clubs in the south Bay Area, like De Anza Force, Sunnyvale Alliance, Santa Clara Sporting, MVLA, local colleges, semi-pro teams, etc. Our coaches Brent and David work with our keepers on improving their technical, physical, mental and intangible aspects of goalkeeping!
MEET COACH BRENT NATWICK
Coach Brent has been a keeper his whole soccer career. At the age of 14 Brent joined the newly formed San Jose Earthquake Academy, and spent the next 2 years competing against some of the best teams in the country. He was also part of the District II ODP team, and ODP State team before joining the San Jose Earthquake Academy. He finished his youth career at Sunnyvale Alliance Soccer Club before committing to play at De Anza College a local community College. Over the next 3 seasons Brent started his last 2 seasons making the playoffs each year. Brent then got recruited to play at Menlo College, a 4 year University that plays in the NAIA. After graduating from Menlo College, Coach Brent is now the goalkeeper coach at De Anza College.
MEET COACH DAVID NATWICK
Coach David played at the adult level for many years with Sunnyvale Alliance SC (SASC) before retiring to focus on coaching. David has been coaching keepers for 20+ years now, and has coached club teams at SASC for over 15 years years. During his coaching experience, has coached at some of the highest levels; ODP (Olympic Development Program), San Jose Earthquakes Academy, Adult leagues and Semi-Pro. He holds many coaching licenses including USSF National Coaching, NSCAA and USSF State Goalkeeping license.
MEET COACH ALEX VALDIVIA
Coach Alex has played soccer at a competitive level since the age of 8. At the age of 15 she joined MVLA ECNL, where she was able to help take her team to ECNL Nationals, and play goalkeeper at the highest level. She was also a part of the State ODP team, and a 4-year high school Varsity starter. At the end of her youth career, she Red-Shirted a season at the Division I San Jose State University. She later transferred to play Division II soccer at Notre Dame De Namur University, to compete in the competitive Pac-West conference.
MEET COACH JAXON ROBY
Coach Jaxon has played competitively, since middle school. Was defensive MVP for four consecutive years, along with SCVAL goalkeeper of the year varsity senior year. Played competitively at Sunnyvale Alliance, winning Norcal State Cup championships, in a penalty shootout. Went on to play premiere level soccer at Santa Clara Sporting, along with experience at Los Gatos United. Trained at the college level at De Anza College
